SKorean military apologizes for firing at airplane (AP)

Conservative protesters release balloons carrying anti-North Korea leaflets towards the north at a field near the demilitarized zone separating the two Koreas in Yeoncheon, about 62 km (39 miles) north of Seoul, June 21, 2011, to mark the upcoming 61st anniversary of the outbreak of the 1950-53 Korean War on June 25. The two Koreas are technically still at war and station about 1 million troops near their respective sides of the Demilitarised Zone that has divided the peninsula since the Korean War ended in a ceasefire, but not a peace treaty.
